How to Datamine Pacific Poker

Some poker rooms consider datamining to be an unfair advantage.
I don't have the time to stay up to date with the changes the poker rooms make to their T&Cs, so be sure to check them yourself.

Guide to datamining on Pacific Poker (888 network). Please note that you use the same method for getting your own hand histories.

Pacific Poker doesn't save any hand histories that you can use with Pokertracker/Holdem Manager. This means that whether you want to datamine or just get your own hand histories, you will need a handgrabber. The rest of the article focus on datamining, but you get your own hand histories in the same way, so you can just substitute "datamining" with "save your own hand histories".

There are currently only 1 handgrabber for Pacific Poker (888 network). It is called "Pacific Poker Hand Grabber" and you can buy it from Idleminer (just click the link below).

The handgrabber is very easy to use. All you have to do in order to begin datamining is to press "Launch Site", and it will save hand histories from any table you open - Both those you play at yourself, and those you just observe.

Unfortunately the ease of use of the handgrabber comes at a price, there are very few features. Experienced dataminers will sorely miss a table opener, that could automatically open/close tables and that way make sure that you are always datamining the highest possible number of active tables.

While the lack of features isn't a deal breaker, it is certainly something that I would like to see added. On the other hand the handgrabber does what it is supposed to very well and with no hassle, and when you factor in that there are no other handgrabber for Pacific Poker, it is easy to conclude that Pacific Poker Hand Grabber is your best option for datamining on Pacific Poker.
