Absolute Poker Datamining Video

Absolute Poker

I have added a short video to the page about datamining Absolute Poker.

I have created a short video showing how to get started datamining on Absolute Poker on the Cereus network. The handgrabber I use is fairly advanced and offer a lot of extra features, so it can be hard to get started, especially if you have never datamined before.

In the video I show how to use the handgrabber, and later import the hand histories I have gathered into Holdem Manager, which I hope will make it easier for you to get started.

If you are new to datamining it may be a good idea to download the handgrabber before you watch the video, so you can follow along while watching.

Datamining Confusion: Absolute Poker and Cereus

There has been a bit of confusion about the handgrabber and what it does. The root of this is that it were originally created for Absolute Poker before they merged with Ultimate Bet to form the "Cereus network".

While most handgrabbers will work with any site on a poker network, the handgrabber for Absolute Poker only works there and not on Ultimate Bet, even though it is on the same network.

This can cause a bit of confusion, since handgrabbers are often named after the network, so you will see a lot of people (including me) referring to Absolute Idleminer as a "Cereus handgrabber".

The reason is that it technically is a handgrabber for the Cereus network - It just doesn't support more than 1 skin.
