About PokerDatamining.NET
PokerDatamining.NET is a guide to datamining and buying hand histories.
The goal with the site is to help both new and experienced players win more money in ways that doesn't require you to become a better poker player. Most visitors to the site are already fairly good poker players - by the time you learn about datamining, you have already spend a whole lot of time studying the game.
This means that if you want to become just a little bit better, you have to spend a lot of time studying, since you have already learned all the easy lessons, and the few things you don't know aren't easy to figure out.
Datamining can give your winrate a healthy nudge upwards, with very little investment of time on your part. The reason is that datamining gives you a wealth of information that allow you to make better decisions with your current poker knowledge.
At the moment most of the site is about datamining, but I plan on expanding it to other areas such as table selection and rakeback.
Please note: When you click the links on the site and buy hand histories or poker software, you help me pay for hosting, graphics, booze and proof reading, since I'm being paid a commission for some of the sales.
Who the Heck Are You Anyway?
Hello there, my name is Jake, and I run PokerDatamining.NET.
I have played poker for 4 years, most of them semi-professionally. While I have made a nice bit of money, you probably haven't heard of me, and probably never will. I like to keep quite about the fact that I make money playing poker, since it can really mess up the way other people see you - either they think I'm an addict, or won't stop talking about poker and what kind of money I have won/lost that week.
I play midstakes 6-max and used to post quite a bit on 2+2, but have all but stopped when I began creating websites, since I find it more rewarding to be able to create an entire site.
If you have a question, comments about the site, or just want to say hi, just leave a comment on one of the articles. I very much appreciate them, even the ones that I can't publish on the site.
